Last week, our family threw Baby K the most beautiful and perfect baby shower. I was politely dismissed from the planning process (haha!), which was initially difficult to accept being the control-freak that I am, but I was absolutely blown away walking into our shower. I am so excited to show y’all the pretty details!
All thanks to our mothers and sister-in-laws, every detail of this precious event was just perfect. We decided to have it at Noah’s Event Venue in Naperville, which is the same place we got married. It was a cute little touch. They supply the tables, chairs, linens, kitchen, and space. The rest is up to the party planners!
We had a snacky-brunch feel when it came to the food and I thought it was a great balance. I mean, all the food I was suggesting to our family involved carbs, haha! So they tried to incorporate what I wanted on top of some type of balance. It worked out great and the food was delicious!
The decor was completed by our families and was so sweet! I love having all of this stuff to decorate with after the shower and all the pictures to use in Baby K’s baby book. I can’t wait for the day I get to share all these wonderful memories with her.
We didn’t do any games (per my request), only because I feel like games can get awkward and are just there as time fillers. I’m not about wasting anyone’s time, especially their precious time on Sunday. I wanted a lot of mingling, eating, chatting, and meaningful stuff. Instead of games, my guests were occupied by a cute crossword puzzle, and little cards to fill out for us to share with Baby K one day. Reading through all of these messages was so much fun after the shower!
The absolute best part of this day was having the room filled with so much love for Baby K. I was seriously so overwhelmed by how many people love her already and have supported us through this crazy journey. We are forever grateful for this support and love and can’t wait to share Baby K with everyone surrounding us!
